Photographing Sofia among the beautiful background of the Holden Arboretum

My daughter graduates from high school this month. After much indecision since her cancelled Senior Portrait photo shoot last fall, she decided to ask me to take these important pictures. This is something I’ve never done before. So after several Google tutorials and practice, plus waiting for the weather to cooperate, we headed out to our chosen location of the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland.

It was cloudy, yet bright enough for natural sunlight to evenly light my subject. The color of the foliage offset the white color of Sofia’s dress. I captured her several times in other activities other than posing.

Overall it was a nice afternoon with her and my girlfriend, Karen.

But I really loved what I saw through my lens and then on my computer screen. Look at my beautiful daughter.
